There are several breaks on Playa Junquillal, one (reef break) right in front of the condo, at least one beach break south of the condo, and one on the most northern portion of Junquillal beach (5 min drive). The Junquillal breaks are seasonal (March–May).  

For consistent world-class surf, Playa Negra is only 15 minutes drive away on a freshly paved road. Playa Negra is also the closest place to rent surfboards.
